Parts with pocket holes completed.
Side panel assembled.
Side panel #2 glued and clamped
Both side panels completed
Assembling the side panels to the legs
Using kreg screws for hardwood, dipped in wax to prevent splitting of the hickory.
Assembled side panels, attached to the legs.
Starting to take shape !
Starting to look like a box finally.
Gluing up the bottom – Just the right amount of glue ! 😉
Golor and grain of the bottom, sadly it will be hard to even ever see it.
Hand scraped the bottom with a card scraper to see how it worked on the hickory, not bad actually.
Gluing in more plywood on the inside in order to hide all the ugly pocket holes, and reinforce the panels that make up the side.
It’s nice having alot of clamps when working with cabinet builds.
Gluing up the top
Attaching the top and bottom to the case.
The bottom being glued into place.
The door being assembled for the front of the cabinet
Detail of the corner of the front door, color and size of the joint.
Not bad for just using a table saw for all of it.
View from the backside with the door and trash can and tray installed.
View from the front showing the trashcan tray.
Inside of front door
Back side of cabinet, panel held in place with 10 Phillips screws in case the back needs to come off to repair or retrieve dropped items etc.
View of top and front door and handle
View of the top from the side.
Left side – finished.
Right side finished
Front view finished
All in all, I think it turned out pretty nice.
