The following are a bunch of images from 2024 when I built 3 large tomato trellis projects.

The tomatoes did fairly well hanging from the strings, and were single stemmed by removing all the suckers weekly. The tomatoes that were on the side of the barn where the walnut trees did no produce well at all…… Live and Learn. IE: tomatoes do NOT do well ANYWHERE next to walnut trees !! 😀 The trellis behind the pool had tomato plants over 7 – 8 ‘ tall on the trellis and worked great….except I had some blossom end rot due to lack of nutrients and also they had some sunburning because of the pruning of the “extra” leaves that would have provided some protection from the sun. Next year, I plan on adding some shadescreen to the top of the trellis, and we will see how they do then. Also, planning on adding some lime for the blossom end rot issue. Anyway, here are the pictures of my trellis project, hope you like them.
